NEDBANK BLOG | CONTENT WRITING

During my time as senior digital copywriter for one of South Africa's leading banks, I was responsible for crafting thought-provoking and high-performance blog content in the online financial education sphere.

NEDBANK | SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGNS

Creating conceptual copy to accompany audiovisual media has formed an important part of my career in banking. In this example, I crafted the script and served as voiceover artist.

NEDBANK PRIDE CAMPAIGN | #COLOUROFMYSOUL

Nedbank is the first major bank to deliver such a visual demonstration of commitment to a more inclusive and accepting society. For this campaign, I was responsible for creating the concept and drafting resonating messaging across web and social media.

NEDBANK MONEY APP | VIDEO CAMPAIGNS

Consumers will only use your app if (a) they know how to, and (b) they see the benefit thereof. For this app campaign, I crafted the copy to be informative with a quirky edge. Once again, I served as voiceover artist.

OLD MUTUAL | PRINT AD CAMPAIGN

Death is not a topic anyone likes discussing. But making sure your loved ones are taken care of in your absence is important. For this print ad campaign, the copy and concept was crafted to drive the message home that with Old Mutual's CoverNow policy, you get more than you would expect.

SAMSUNG GALAXY S8 | TAKE THE TIME MANIFESTO

Samsung is more than a tech giant. They're a lifestyle brand. For this Galaxy S8 launch manifesto, the narrative aimed to tug at consumers' heart strings, urging them to #TakeTheTime to enjoy all life's moments - while using a Samsung product of course.

NETWERK24 | COLUMN

As a regular columnist for Netwerk24, the ask is to deliver content that pushes the boundaries, gets readers thinking, invites debate, and encourages social media sharing. In this specific example, I explore the necessity for Afrikaans to adapt in order to survive.

KIEF KOEKIES | WEB CAMPAIGN

Kief Koekies tells the story of tannie Riekie, one of SA's top bakers, and her confections in a tongue-in-cheek, innuendo-laden way. So enticing was the narrative, that this web campaign was awarded three Pendoring awards.
